How You Can Help
There are over 12,000 New Zealand families who care for a disabled child.
We provide support for families around New Zealand – this may be organising practical day to day or emotional support, getting funding for equipment or exploring options for pre-school and school. We ensure the families get regular breaks – respite within the family home or in the carer’s own home. We also work with parents to help them to develop goals and aspirations for their child.
Your regular donation will make a difference for thousands of families around New Zealand so they get the support they need to face the additional everyday challenges.

How CCS Disability Action makes a difference (Transcript from video)
What would make the difference to my life is – and does make a difference to my life – is having the support of agencies and people out there that can support me in the care and that can be good advocates for Ben out there in the community.
There’s not many kids out there like Ben with cerebral palsy so agencies like CCS Disability Action where they offer family support, information, advocacy, that I can pick up the phone and ask a question is fantastic.
Yeah, having more access to time out, some respite care, perhaps someone to help me around the house from time to time, that sort of stuff. By having people from CCS, Disability Action, there – I know I’ve always got someone to call upon.
